The Summer Sale & My Bucket List

Each summer for the past several years, I've offered a 'Summer Sale' worth 50% off all my DVD's. This yearly event has always been popular with my fans both new and old, giving folks a chance to pick up titles they don't already have at bargain prices, or check out some titles they've been on the fence about and haven't taken the 'leap' due to budget restrictions.

This year is a big exception, as I'm quite literally clearing out my warehouse of DVD inventory. As more and more friends prefer to buy my films in downloadable or streaming formats, I decided last year to turn over sales of my physical discs to my friends at Pulse Distribution. I stopped manufacturing and warehousing discs on my own and left that aspect of my business to Pulse who still supply the brick and mortar and online video stores with my films in this format.

For the last year, anyone who purchased DVD's from my store at MariesPlayPlace.com received them autographed by me, along with the assortment of goodies I've always included, like pre-paid VOD cards, samples of my favorite Lube from Wet and even my exclusive 'Play Safe' brand Condoms.

Well, a year later, I'm getting down to the end of what's left of my DVD inventory so this year, for the annual 'Summer Sale', I decided to get rid of what's left with a sale to end all sales. I'm offering my top 20 DVD titles for just $5.00 each.

Don't be mistaken, I'm not 'dumping' all my junk on you. (Although I'm well aware some of you might actually enjoy that). These are original, brand new silver pressed discs, although they are packaged in paper sleeves without the printed artwork and DVD long box. The packaging is provided to me separately. The inserts, and the boxes, and discs all arrive separately, and since it takes time and money to assemble these into 'retail ready' packaging, I'm skipping this step in order to offer you the lowest possible price on my best DVD's.

A few of these titles are 2 Disc Sets, including "Indiscretions" and "Smoke Junkies" that have been on my 'Best Seller' list since they were released.

So, I invite you to check out the selection, and if you are interested in picking any of these up, I can't stress enough to NOT WAIT. Once these titles are sold out, they will be removed from the sale page and no longer available, except where you can find them online at other retail stores. And some of these titles have already sold out at Pulse Distribution, so when they are gone... they will really be gone.

Shipping in the USA and CANADA is $3.95 for the first title, plus $2.00 each additional title with a MAXIMUM shipping charge of $9.95. So, you can pick up 4 titles for under $30 including shipping in the USA / Canada. Click here to get first pick of what I have left.

In other news...

Last week, I took a road trip to check off one of my 'Bucket List' items in seeing 90's Rockers Eve6 live.

You may not know the name, but if you are over the age of 30, you probably remember a few of their songs. "Inside Out", "Promise", "Here's To The Night" and "Think Twice" were all huge radio hits back when I was a '20-Something'.

So when I heard they put out a new record and were touring small venues, I took the trip to Cleveland, OH. to see them at the Peabody's Concert Club. The chance to see them play in a small venue, close to my hometown and have the opportunity to actually meet them was one I couldn't pass up.

Notice at the beginning of the video, Tony says "Maddy... right?". Imagine my surprise when after so many years listening to their music, they knew MY name.

And honestly, I've never met a group of nicer guys. They took the time to hang out with their fans before the show, talk a bit, take pictures and sign autographs and even let us sit in on a bit of their soundcheck.

And as for the concert itself... well, they were awesome. You just don't find this kind of musicianship in most bands these days. For just three guys, they put out a sound that was huge and played all my favorite songs from their new record plus all their hits. As a long time fan, I was NOT disappointed.

That's Mark and I with the band before the show. A great time, an amazing concert experience and one that I'll never forget. Thanks Eve6!

I know I haven't been updating my blog as often, but it's simply because I've had a lot going on. I'll be back soon with news on new projects, a new 'Big Summer Movie' and much more, so stay tuned.

Love,
Maddy

The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead has become one of my favorite television shows.  Now, that season 2 has ended, I'm left wondering what will happen.

The first time I saw the show, I was hooked.  I watched the entire first season one after another.  To the point that I had to wait to get Netflix to see the second season.

Alot of people like to bash this show.  I don't really know why.  I think the story is great.  There are some aspects of the story I wish they would go far into depth with, but I'm sure they will expand the story lines they have left unattended to through out the next few seasons.

My favorite character is:

Played by Norman Reedus  I've liked his work since he was a main character in Boondock Saints.  Brief recap:  Fraternal twins set out to rid Boston of the evil men operating there while being tracked down by an FBI agent played by Williem Defoe.  Well, I said the description would be brief I meant it.

See he is still a bad ass!

Moving on.

I like Norman's character in "The Walking Dead".  Maybe it's that sexy cross bow.  Or maybe he is the type of guy I'd go for.  Rugged, savy, smart and can kick some ass and take names while he is doing it.

Sexy right?

The next character in line would be Shane Walsh.

Mostly because he was one of those characters that you love to hate.  You want to see him be a conniving best friend.  That it makes you root for him, at the same time you want to see him get his ass kicked.  Weird I kn ow, but hey what are you going to do?

Next up on the list Rick.

I sort of feel for Rick Grimes.  Not only was he left for dead by his best friend, but woke up in a world of shit.  I mean how weird would that be to go into a coma and when you wake up the zombie apocalypse just happened?  That would be a tad weird.

He was literally clueless to all of the things that went on until recently.  I pegged him a smarter man than that.  He was just thinking with his heart instead of his brain.  He is the glue that has held these people together, but at the same time it is driving him insane.

He is turning into Shane and he doesn't even know it yet.  I'm sort of waiting for him to impregnate all the women on the show and repopulate the Atlanta, Georgia area.  You never know.... it could happen.

Next in line and last Glenn:

I like how his character brings a bit of humor to the show.  Most of the cast uses him as zombie bait, so you'll have to excuse him if he is a little high strung.  But, he is also very daring and smart and that makes his character loveable.

These are my favorites on the show.  Too bad one of them is dead now, but hey he lasted longer than he did in the comic. Haha, sorry Shane.

I'm looking forward to season 3, maybe they will do a few episodes in 3D, now that would be amazing.

Heaven Knows It's Real

Have you ever wondered if you can to talk to loved ones who have passed?

There are many people who would say that this is not possible.  But me, I think there is a higher level.  A spiritual  plain where we are lifted up to a new level of consciousness.

When my father passed in August, I would often wonder how he was d doing in his new ''environment''.  I wondered how he felt about how things have turned out, how he sees things now.

I ran into Charlene Schine in November.  She was attending the "Blood Of Ohma" premiere at the Erie Playhouse.

She came up to me and asked, "Do you want to see your Dad?"  Of course I was interested.  Then I realized who she was.

Charlene is an ordained minister, as well as a certified medium. You can find her website here:  http://spiritsideconnections.homestead.com/index.html, she is working on revamping her site as well.  http://www.heavenknowsitsreal.com/ and it's coming soon!

After this encounter with her I decided I want a reading with her to find out a little more.  To see ''how real'' it really was.

Marie Madison's Reading With Charlene Schine

Charlene graciously accepted.

So if you ask me, "Do I think it's real?"

Yes I do.  Charlene mentioned so many things in this reading that she couldn't have possibly known.

So go check it out and see if you think it's real.

So it's a New Year

The long awaited 2012 is finally here.

This is what the Mayan's believed would happen in 2012.  Or maybe it was just because they all died off and didn't have anyone to continue the calendar?  Just a guess.....

This year is a brand new start for all of us.  Everyone says, "This is the year to live like it's your last."  Well, you should have been doing that all along.  Moving on....

I hope everyone had a safe and happy New Year.  If your like me and live in mostly a college town you tend to find it to be amateur night.

Hopefully you didn't end up like this guy....

This month starts a New Year for Maddy G Tv.
We had 3.5 million viewers last year and it's still growing.  Thank you for watching!

We will be kicking of the start of the New Year, by bring back Lizzy Monroe.

You remember "Virgin Pockets?" Maddy G Tv will bring you all new episodes of Lizzy's adventures.  We have some of your favorite cast coming back as well as some newbies.

First, the return of Grady Scott.  Played by Jeremy Krukowski

Jeremy is no stranger to the indie film circuit.  He has done many movies here locally in Erie, Pa.

His most recent films were "Blood of Ohma"  and "The Four".  Both shot and directed by local film makers Paul Gorman and Jason Hull.

We will be sporting some new comers to the indie scene.  Anna Davidova, Joe Kelly, Paul Grabisinki and Mike Socie.  Although a few of them had small parts in several indie films, they are all ready to take on the challenge of a bigger role.

Speaking of "Blood Of Ohma", you can watch it for free on www.maddygtv.com  If your looking for the 3D version hit up Gmd Films website to order it.

You can also catch up on the "Virgin Pockets" saga before new episodes start airing.

I would like to thank all the sponsors who have stepped up and put their support behind Maddy G Tv.  This allows us to make the shows for you and your viewing pleasure.

If you interested in being a sponsor you can email either Mark Audess (mark@mariemadison.com) for details.

I would also like to congratulate Frank and Jess Stefano on their recent nuptials.  Our best to both of you!

Cute couple right?

So, I won't bore you anymore and I'll start posting more often.

Thanks for stopping by.

BUTCH'S FUND

As alot of you may heard my father passed away on August 4, 2011.

This is my Dad...

This photo was taken the Sunday before, when family and friends gathered to spend time together.
My Dad looked forward to this party.  I believe he knew it would be the last time he got to see alot of his
friends and family.

This is a picture of me and my siblings, and for once my little brother (In the Superman shirt) kept his tongue in his mouth, and his middle finger down.  He's good for that.

So, now I am left with a void in my life.  But, I will always have my memories.

In his honor and to help my mother, we here at Maddy G Productions are running a benefit for him.

All the  proceeds raised will go to my Mom to help with my Dad's end of life expenses.  Please donate as much as you are comfortable with.

There are quite a few ways to donate on the page.

Also, "Blood Of Ohma", the new summer film by GMD Films will be dedicated to his memory.  A few weks before passing he got to see the first 15 minutes in 3D.  I wish he could have been here to see it all.  I hope it will make him proud.

So, that's all I am going to say for now.

Thank you in advance to everyone for your donations.
